From Tahiti to the Himalayas:
The Crazy Life of an Old Baby Nun

with Ven. Losang Chödrön

Born in Canada, raised in France and Pacific Islands, and shaped by a lifetime of unexpected turns — Ani Losang Chödrön has lived many lives before this one.

For 40 years she worked as a nurse, the last 20 of them walking alongside the dying in palliative care. She is also a mother of two and grandmother of four. Then, in 1998, the Dharma found her — and saved her life.

That same year she took refuge. In 2003, a humanitarian mission brought her to Ladakh, where she encountered the Drukpa nuns — the legendary Kung Fu Nuns — and felt something shift forever. She knew she wanted to become their sister. But life had other plans, and her own mother had strong opinions. It would take more than 20 years of patience, longing, and quiet determination before that dream became real.

Come hear the story of a woman who took the long road to the robes — with humor, heart, and hard-won wisdom to share.
