All beings — humans and animals alike — sought happiness and peace. Yet the world we lived in was marked by conflict and division, rooted not outside us, but within the mind — in the absence of genuine compassion and love.
In this teaching, we reflected on compassion as the heart of a meaningful life: the seed of goodness, the nourishment that allowed it to grow, and the warmth that sustained all beings.
Through stories and everyday examples, we explored how compassion brought happiness to ourselves and others, guided parents, teachers, and leaders, and—when grounded in wisdom—transformed anger into understanding.
As we cultivated compassion, joy naturally expanded beyond ourselves, reaching even those who challenged us. We came together to remember that a compassionate heart was, and remains, the foundation of true happiness and lasting peace.
